The British Veterinary Association is looking for a highly skilled Head of Animal Care and Welfare to lead its nursing team and drive excellence in animal care and welfare.
This role involves developing and implementing strategies to improve animal care and welfare, leading the nursing team, and ensuring smooth clinical operations.
About the Role:
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and communication skills.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve animal care and welfare, mentoring team members, and ensuring that the practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
Benefits:
- Estimated salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum
- 6 weeks of annual leave, including bank holidays
- Contributory pension scheme
- Health Shield membership and a generous annual Wellness Allowance
- Paid overtime (though we value leaving on time)
- No OOH, with opening hours of 08:30–18:30 and just 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
