Exotic Animal Care Professional

Golders Hill Park Zoo is a unique opportunity to join a small, family-friendly zoo based in Northwest London, managed by the City of London Corporation. Our zoo forms part of Hampstead Heath and offers a safe and welcoming environment for visitors.
Job Overview:- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in animal care and conservation, working with a range of exotic and domestic taxa.
- Responsibilities include assisting the team to ensure high levels of animal welfare and husbandry are maintained at all times across Golders Hill Park Zoo & Queen's Park Farm.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about animal welfare and conservation.
Key Requirements:- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. zoology, biology, animal science).
- Experience in animal care and handling, preferably in a zoo or wildlife setting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with colleagues and visitors.
This is a 35-hour week position, working on a roster basis, Monday-Sunday. The successful candidate will be part of the City of London Apprenticeship scheme and will work towards completing an End Point Assessment within 24 months.
