Deputy Director of Operations

At Intrepid Travel, we're passionate about creating unforgettable travel experiences that make a positive impact on our customers and the world around us. As our Deputy Operations Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our trips and the success of our team.
About the Role:
- Provide expert support to our Trip Leaders, ensuring they have the resources and information they need to deliver exceptional experiences.
- Collaborate with our Operations Team to develop and implement efficient systems and processes that drive results.
- Coach and mentor Trip Leaders to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Promote our company values and mission, encouraging Trip Leaders to participate in purposeful activities and projects.
- Manage trip preparations, including checking for National Park alerts, NZTA notifications, and closures, and organizing tour documents and logistics.
What You'll Need:
- 2+ years of experience in the travel industry, preferably as a Trip Leader or in a similar role.
- Extensive travel experience in New Zealand and a passion for travel.
- Management coaching or training experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- A competitive salary range of $70,000-$85,000 NZD per annum.
