Deputy Director of Operations

As our Deputy Operations Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our trips, providing exceptional support to our Trip Leaders, and driving efficiency improvements.
About the Role:
- Provide Trip Leaders with comprehensive information and resources to deliver high-quality experiences.
- Offer coaching, mentoring, and feedback to Trip Leaders to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the Operations Team to develop and implement effective operational systems and procedures.
- Promote purposeful activities and projects among Trip Leaders, fostering a sense of community and shared values.
- Manage trip preparations, including checking for National Park alerts, NZTA notifications, and closures, and organizing tour documents and logistics.
Requirements:
- Two years' experience in the travel industry, preferably as a Trip Leader or in a similar role.
- Extensive travel experience in New Zealand and a passion for travel.
- Management coaching or training experience is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with Trip Leaders, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
