Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intervention Teacher to join our team at Smile Education. As an Intervention Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who require additional academic guidance. Your expertise will help us provide tailored interventions that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a qualified teacher with experience in primary education, preferably in Year 1, 2, or 6. You will work closely with our teachers, parents, and school leadership to deliver targeted interventions that improve student progress and confidence. Your flexibility, patience, and resourcefulness will be essential in adapting teaching methods to meet each student's unique requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Deliver Focused Interventions: Plan and execute targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, or other key areas as required, using flexible teaching methods that cater to individual needs.
  2. Monitor Progress: Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers, parents, and school leaders to track improvements and identify areas for growth.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A recognized teaching qualification is essential for this role.
  • Experience in Primary Education: A minimum of one year of experience in primary education, with a focus on intervention work, is desirable.
  • Patient and Flexible Approach: The ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapt teaching methods, and maintain a patient and resourceful attitude is crucial.
