About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Teacher to join our friendly, supportive team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on young lives by providing tailored educational experiences that support the holistic development of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons that cater to the individual needs of each student.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes engagement and positive behavior.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and the pastoral team to create a well-rounded educational experience for each child.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support students' specific learning, behavioral, and emotional needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each student.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience in working with SEN students or a willingness to develop SEN expertise.
  • Flexibility in teaching any subject with the ability to adapt to students' unique needs and interests.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A nurturing approach to building positive relationships with students, fostering self-confidence, and encouraging independence.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
