Your responsibilities will include leading the technical decisions for our platform engineering roadmap, building and maintaining robust and secure CI/CD pipelines, and planning and implementing solutions for backup and recovery, high availability, key management, and other strategic initiatives.

You'll also be responsible for solving platform problems with software, writing scalable, robust, and secure code in TypeScript, and setting up and maintaining monitoring, metrics, and reporting systems for fine-grained observability and actionable alerting.

As a team leader, you'll be responsible for growing your skills as a technical professional, effectively communicating goals, expectations, and feedback to team members, and working with our delivery teams to ensure our services adhere to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Lead the design and automation of secure and scalable AWS infrastructure
* Own technical decisions to develop and manage the platform engineering roadmap
* Build and maintain robust and secure CI/CD pipelines
* Plan and implement solutions for backup and recovery, high availability, key management, and other strategic initiatives
* Solve platform problems with software
* Set up and maintain monitoring, metrics, and reporting systems
* Lead a team of engineers

**Requirements:**

* Multiple years of experience working with AWS
* Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills
* Team leadership experience
* Experience in implementing and automating security best-practices
* Strong understanding of common services available in AWS
* Proficient with DevOps methodologies
* Experience working with infrastructure as code tools

**Nice to Have:**

* Foundational networking knowledge
* AWS networking knowledge
* Awareness of security processes and DevOps security tools
