Shop Manager Opportunity

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity is seeking a skilled Shop Manager to lead our High Street-based shop in Ely. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in raising funds for the care of our patients, their families, and loved ones.

About the Role

This part-time position, 22.5 hours per week, requires a strong leader who can manage a team of volunteers and staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment, managing stock levels, and implementing effective sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of volunteers and staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming store environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering and receiving stock, and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth and increase customer engagement
  • Work collaboratively with the retail team to achieve business objectives and support the development of new retail initiatives

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in retail management, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
