Key Responsibilities


  • Manage the review of architectural plans and 3D Revit models generated by external architectural resources to prepare C2s and visuals for board approval.
  • Attend bi-weekly property meetings and liaise with internal expansion and acquisition teams, in-house lawyers, and construction teams.
  • Visit new, relocation, and expansion sites, liaise with landlord teams, and work closely with legal teams to prepare checks and drawing amends in CAD.
  • Manage external architects to create tender and construction drawings, track the program pipeline through SharePoint, and report status weekly to the manager of store architecture.
  • Advise internal teams and stakeholders on project risks, country compliance, and industry standards, and make recommendations from feasibility stage to project completion.
  • Appoint approved inspectors, CDMs, structural engineers, fire engineers, and assigned certifiers or statutory authorities for building regulations.
  • Oversee external architects to create architectural design drawings based on construction manual standards in a timely manner to suit the construction program and costs.
  • Liaise with internal and external project managers, M&E consultants, and AVP of construction throughout the pipeline process.
  • Liaise with other internal business partners in marketing, loss prevention, IT, risk, FM, and operations, commercial planning, and store merchandising teams.
  • Oversee the coordination of merchandising Rev A layouts and shop-fit programs with internal store retail design teams to suit business strategy.
  • Attend feasibility, pre, and post-contract site meetings, collate as-built drawings of shop-fit on completion, and work with retailers on 3-month review plans if requested.
  • Manage and monitor the deliverability of landlord shell and core build programs and timely submissions of use, permit, planning, and coordinated construction drawings via SharePoint trackers.
  • Check new feedback statutory compliance regulations and keep TJX construction BIM standards, Revit families up to date, aligning with other country external architects.
  • Manage with tenant surveyors, project managers, facilities, and corporate responsibility to check designs and specifications are fit for purpose and sustainable.
  • Update the internal lead architect weekly on pipeline progress and value engineering, cost recommendations.


Requirements


  • Architectural qualification, project management, or tenant coordinator role for a major retail rollout program.
  • 5-10+ years' experience in retail construction, interior design, and architecture environments, collaborating with large landlords and construction teams.
  • Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture with Revit experience, Adobe CS, and Photoshop.
  • Good understanding of industry standards on fire certificate procedures and building regulation/permits/warrants.
  • Confident communication with a wide range of people across Europe in fluent English and German.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced organization.
  • Intermediate/good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
