Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment - Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day, medium, and long-term maintenance of the Academy's estate, ensuring a safe and secure environment for students and staff.
The ideal candidate will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy, relevant health and safety qualifications, and experience of managing an estate at a strategic level. They will be able to build a rapport with staff and students, and work under pressure to meet the academy's requirements and those of regulatory and statutory bodies.
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing the facilities team and associated contractors, ensuring that maintenance is carried out in line with statute, guidance, best practice, and within budget. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the academy's estate is maintained to a high standard, and that all necessary health and safety procedures are in place.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have a flexible approach, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also need to be able to work effectively with staff, students, and contractors to ensure that the academy's estate is maintained to a high standard.
