About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Community Practitioner for Children and Young People.

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide specialist advice, assessment, and intervention services to children and young people with mental health, neurodevelopmental, or learning difficulties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forensic mental health, child and adolescent psychiatry, or a related field, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The salary for this role is approximately £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Job
  1. Provide specialist advice and consultation to other professionals working with children/young people with diagnosed or suspected mental health/neurodevelopmental/learning issues.
  2. Conduct highly skilled assessments of mental health and risk, and provide intervention services as needed.
  3. Develop and deliver specialized training on adolescent forensic mental health to other professionals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Recognized post-basic qualification in an evidence-based therapy (e.g. CBT).
  • Significant experience at Band 6 or equivalent of working in a mental health service and liaising with other professionals.
  • Experience of completing mental health assessments and risk assessments.
