Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neonatal care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Cambridge University Hospitals is a leading centre for neonatal care, providing specialist care to babies requiring intensive care. As a Neonatal Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective care to neonates in the NICU
  • Assess and plan care for patients, including developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in the supervision and mentorship of junior staff
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • First-level registration with the NMC
  • Post-registration experience in neonatal care
  • Safeguarding children training
  • Teaching and assessing qualification
  • NLS course
