Job Overview

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced neonatal nurse to join its Paediatric and Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval Service (PaNDR). As a key member of the transport team, you will be responsible for providing expert critical care to neonates and children with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.

The successful candidate will have tertiary level neonatal nursing experience, with a strong background in team working and leadership. They will be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The role will involve working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing safe and effective care to patients. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Main Duties
  • Providing direct clinical care to infants requiring emergency and elective transfer
  • Working as part of a team to ensure safe and effective delivery of the service
  • Developing and maintaining clinical skills and knowledge
  • Participating in governance processes to improve the service
Person Specification
  • First Level Registration with the NMC
  • Safeguarding level 3
  • Enhanced Nursing Skills Qualification (ENP)
  • Degree in a relevant health-related subject
