Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced People and Risk Director to lead our HR function and ensure that our business remains compliant with all regulatory, legal, and HR standards. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high degree of autonomy and independence.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in HR management, with a focus on compliance and governance. You will be responsible for managing our HR systems, recruitment processes, and providing oversight of office and facilities management.

  • Manage HR systems, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with employment legislation.
  • Oversee recruitment, induction, and exit procedures to maintain a positive employee experience.
  • Collaborate with external HR advisers to ensure up-to-date employment policies and best practices.
  • Develop and implement effective employee reward systems to attract and retain high-quality staff.
  • Provide guidance and support to line managers on HR issues to promote a culture of openness and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

Information Governance and Data Protection:

  • Act as the organisation's Information Governance and Data Protection Officer, ensuring adherence to GDPR and NHS Data Security standards.
  • Develop and implement control systems to monitor organisational compliance with relevant legislation.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience in HR management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Proven experience in compliance and governance management, with a track record of success.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: Waterloo

Hours: 35 hours per week
