Human Resources Director

We are seeking an experienced People Operations Manager to join our team at Superdry. In this role, you will play a critical part in achieving our goal of delivering an exceptional employee experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesReporting and Leadership
- Report directly to the Head of People Operations and lead a team of 6 people, consisting of 4 People Administrators, a Data and Systems Analyst, and an international HR Advisor.
People Operations and Delivery
- Collaborate with the wider People Team and various stakeholders across the business to ensure productivity, quality, and SLA measures are maintained.
- Use your HR experience and knowledge to review global processes and practices, focusing on employee experience, compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Deliver day-to-day aspects of the People Operations service, including people administration, system maintenance, and master data management.
Team Development and Coaching
- Take a coaching approach to develop your team's potential, with service excellence at its core.
- Help team members play to their strengths and progress in their roles.
Initiatives and Projects
- Establish the team as the first point of contact for all HR queries and develop processes, knowledge guides, and skills to handle generalist and ER-based queries.
- Embed a People Policy Steering Committee to ensure legislative updates are captured and policies reflect Superdry values and behaviors.
Systems and Data
- Gain a deep understanding of our People systems and their integration with our HRIS.
- Work with the People Data and Systems Administrator to ensure systems are fit for purpose and make everyone's working lives more effective and efficient.
Culture and Self-Service
- Contribute to establishing and promoting a culture of self-service, seeking advancements to the self-service offering and processes.
- Explore opportunities for technology and AI to enhance the employee experience.
Continuous Improvement and Data-Driven Decisions
- Role model a continuous improvement mindset, focusing on employee experience and opportunities for efficiencies.
- Make data-driven decisions related to services provided by your team, identifying areas for improvement and demonstrating the impact of services.
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in HR roles, with exposure to employee relations, HR systems, and people data.
- Curiosity and a willingness to get hands-on, with a genuine passion for People Operations.
- Comfortable discussing compliance and having a good working knowledge of UK employment laws, with knowledge of international employment laws beneficial but not required.
Leadership and Team Management
- Ready to lead a team with strong coaching and leadership skills.
Communication and Collaboration
- Capable of managing a high volume of work at pace, remaining calm under pressure and minimizing errors.
- Able to take responsibility and ownership for your workload, being proactive and confident in using your own initiative.
- Friendly and engaging, with the ability to build collaborative and trustworthy relationships across a global team.
