About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch General Manager to join our team at DFS Furniture PLC. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our store and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and motivate a diverse team of sales and customer service professionals to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Experience
    • Ensure that every customer interaction is positive, engaging, and meets their needs.
    • Develop and implement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Store Operations
    • Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
    • Ensure that the store is always well-stocked, visually appealing, and meets the highest standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Business Development
    • Identify opportunities to increase sales, revenue, and market share.
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve business growth and expansion.
  • People Development
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales and customer service professionals.
    • Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to team members to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure that all store operations are compliant with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
    • Identify and mitigate risks to the business, including health and safety, security, and financial risks.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management Experience
    • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams in a retail or customer-facing environment.
    • Experience in developing and implementing strategies to improve team performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Service and Sales Experience
    • Excellent customer service and sales skills, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
    • Experience in developing and implementing initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Business Acumen
    • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the retail industry and market trends.
    • Experience in developing and implementing strategies to achieve business growth and expansion.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
    • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
