Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Childcare Trainer/Assessor to join our team at Dovetail & Slate | B Corp®. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our apprentices within Residential Children's Services.

About the Role

As a Residential Childcare Apprenticeship Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering the full apprenticeship standard, including Functional Skills, to a caseload of apprentices. You will work closely with our learners, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to help them achieve their qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality training and assessment to apprentices within Residential Children's Services
  • Support learners in achieving their Functional Skills qualifications
  • Work closely with our team to ensure seamless delivery of the apprenticeship standard
  • Contribute to the development of our training and assessment materials

Requirements

  • Solid occupational competence in a Management role within the Residential Childcare sector
  • Hold a minimum Level 5 Residential Children's related qualification
  • Functional Skills L2
  • Ideally hold either a recognised Assessors qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA etc) OR a recognised teacher qualification
