About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at Wenzel's The Bakers. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager in leading, training, and working alongside our team to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Shop Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the store, including supervising the team and running the shop at various times during the week.
  • Develop and lead the shop team to build a loyal customer base and increase sales.
  • Ensure store schedules and objectives are met by employees, successfully managing and controlling all aspects of the shop.
  • Assist with the management of branch stock and produce, maintaining shop displays, and preparing food in line with the specification.
  • Provide great service experiences for customers, working together with the Shop Manager to lead and train the team as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience with team leading or supervising within food service or a retail setting.
  • A good communicator with a track record of success in previous roles.
  • Able to take responsibility within a fast-paced environment and provide high levels of customer service.
