Haematology Transfusion Specialist

Blood Transfusion is a critical component of patient care in hospitals, requiring precise and timely testing to ensure safe transfusion practices. We are seeking an experienced professional with a degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent, a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, and registration with the Health Professions Council. The successful candidate will have operational oversight of our Blood Transfusion laboratories, providing expert advice and support to our service users. You will be responsible for managing a team, developing policies, and implementing quality assurance procedures. About the Role
As a Haematology Transfusion Specialist, you will oversee the daily operations of our Blood Transfusion laboratories, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for managing a team of scientists and support staff, developing policies, and implementing quality assurance procedures. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of quality management standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of Blood Transfusion laboratories, including management of staff, resources, and equipment.
- Development and implementation of quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of care.
- Providing expert advice and support to service users on Blood Transfusion-related matters.
- Management of budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
