Clinical Psychologist in Children's Renal Service

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Children's Renal Service. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in clinical health psychology and the impact of living with health conditions. The role will involve working closely with the medical service multidisciplinary team to provide a specialist clinical psychology service for children and young people.
Main DutiesThe main duties of the role will include:
- Working with children and young people through consultation to staff, direct work, and attending multidisciplinary clinics.
- Providing a specialist clinical psychology service for children and young people to help them better manage psychological distress and obtain better treatment outcomes.
- Working closely with the medical service multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive service.

Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will have:
- A completed (or due to complete in 2024) postgraduate doctoral level DClinPsy in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS.
- Current HCPC registration for Clinical Psychologist (or eligibility to qualify for registration in 2024).
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS/HCPC.
We welcome applications from newly qualified psychologists, or 3rd Year Trainees due to qualify in 2024. The successful candidate will be part of a welcoming and growing Clinical Psychology Department which incorporates specialisms in Paediatric Psychology, Adult Medical Psychology, and Child and Adult Neuropsychology.
