About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our Paediatric Renal Service at Nottingham Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will work closely with the medical team to provide a specialist clinical psychology service for children and young people with renal conditions.
Main Responsibilities
The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing interventions to help children and young people better manage their psychological distress and achieve better treatment outcomes. The role will involve working with children and young people, as well as their families and carers.
About the Team
The Paediatric Renal Service is a multidisciplinary team that includes doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The team works together to provide comprehensive care to children and young people with renal conditions. The Clinical Psychologist will be an integral part of this team and will work closely with other team members to provide a high-quality service.
Person Specification
We are looking for a qualified Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with children and young people, particularly those with medical or chronic physical health conditions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. They will also have a commitment to ongoing professional development and be able to contribute to the development of the service.
