About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at S and P Associates. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, including logistics, operations, and site management.
  • Site Management: Oversee site managers and supervisors, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to deliver projects successfully.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Review and produce documentation, including risk and method statements, quality plans, and standard operating procedures.
  • Commercial Management: Work closely with the commercial team to ensure cash flow and commercial viability of projects.
  • Tender Management: Lead the tender process, coordinating with commercial surveyors to ensure successful tender returns.
  • Team Development: Oversee the development of site resources, identifying training requirements and areas for improvement.
  • Business Development: Represent the company positively with clients, identifying opportunities for further contracts and business growth.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree qualified or equivalent, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
  • Certifications: Black CSCS card holder, MCIOB (desirable), and NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience: Proven experience in construction project management, with a strong understanding of JCT 2016, NEC 4, and client bespoke contracts.
