About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Support Assistant to join our team at Hereford Medical Group. As a key member of our secretarial team, you will provide administrative support to our medical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and process SARS requests, verify information, and update spreadsheets as needed.
  • Manage SBAR and District Nurse Communications, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Process Docman tasks, including sending patient summaries and managing documents.
  • Handle Diabetic Specialist Nurse Referrals, E-mail Monitoring, and Telephone Enquiries.
  • Scan notes for reports and SARS, and manage LG Notes at QHMC.
  • Raise invoices and manage Physio referrals, basic paperwork, and Emis tasks.
  • Support Diabetes Prevention Referrals, Queries re Waiting Times, and Healthy Lifestyle Referrals.
  • Manage Falls Clinic Referrals, Semen Analysis, and Choose & Book worklist.
  • Pull notes for deductions/SARS and Department of Works and Pensions Reports.

Requirements

  • A good standard of general education, including English and Maths at GCSE level or equivalent.
  • A demonstrable commitment to professional development.
  • Experience of dealing with medical paperwork and working with computer packages.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team and use own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
