Company Overview: Essential Staffing Services is a leading provider of residential childcare services.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Residential Children's Support Worker/Team Leader to join our team in High Wycombe, London.
Key Responsibilities- To implement and maintain effective care plans, risk assessments, and key working sessions for children in our care.
- To model and promote best practice approaches to working with and supporting children with challenging behaviors.
- To facilitate effective handovers and debriefs with staff.
- To ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
- To support children through transitions into and out of our care.
- To foster an environment that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- To collaborate with professionals and agencies to provide the best possible care for children.
Requirements:
- Experience as a support worker with a track record of high performance or 1-2 years working in a transferable role.
- Diploma level 3 in residential childcare qualification or working towards.
- Able to work within 24/7 operations.
- A DBS on update service or ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
- Previous experience working in a residential care provision with children and young people with EBD, LD & Complex needs/Mental Health.
- Ability to learn and adhere to Ofsted quality standards for children's homes and supported accommodation.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
