Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Learning Support Area Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our SENDCo to manage the special educational needs provision and support the achievement of all students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to support students with special educational needs
  • Deploy and manage a team of Teaching Assistants to provide targeted support to students
  • Attend meetings with outside agencies and parents to discuss student progress and needs
  • Arrange and oversee student assessments to inform teaching and learning
  • Work with small groups of students to provide targeted support and interventions
  • Undertake administrative duties to support the effective management of special educational needs provision
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of special educational needs and a proven track record of supporting students with a range of needs. They will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
