About the Role

Job Overview

This full-time post attracts 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) and an on-call supplement, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package. The successful candidate will be based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, with opportunities to work across both sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive oncology service, working closely with consultant colleagues to develop site-specialised cancer services.
  • Support established multi-disciplinary teams and participate in out-of-hours services.
  • Liaise with surgeons, physicians, and staff in other specialties to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Supervise and manage junior medical staff, promoting their professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to teaching, research, and continuing education, both locally and nationally.
  • Undertake clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, and annual appraisal processes.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £115,000 - £140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and access to training and development opportunities.
