Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care and participate in the audit and governance of our department.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work independently, caring for patients with gastrointestinal complaints, carrying out emergency and elective care. They will also be responsible for participating in the Upper GI / Hepatobiliary Cancer MDT and delivering clinical and quality targets agreed nationally and locally.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work independently caring for patients with gastrointestinal complaints

Person Specification

We are looking for a consultant with a strong track record of experience in gastroenterology, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MD and be registered with the GMC. A Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) is required.

Salary and Benefits
