Fleet Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Manager to join our team at Reed Public Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and providing expert advice and support to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Fleet Policy Development: Develop, implement, and monitor user-friendly fleet policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Financial Management: Monitor monthly spend and budget reports associated with vehicle leasing, service and maintenance, fuel cards, hire vehicles, driver training, and licence and compliance checking.
- Vehicle Management: Maintain accurate data associated with vehicle replacements and predicted future new orders, working closely with key stakeholders within Operations and HR.
- Service Provider Management: Work alongside the nominated fleet leasing/management provider to ensure service and quality standards are regularly assessed.
- Education: Essential GCSE's in English and Maths, at grade C or equivalent qualification (QCF Level 2 / SQCF Level 5).
- Experience: A background in fleet management, with experience in managing a 400+ vehicle fleet, and experience in managing an external fleet support/management leasing provider, with a strong focus on SLAs and performance.
- Skills: In-depth understanding of fleet management procedures and departmental policies, strong communicating and engaging skills, with the ability and desire to work closely with drivers and other key stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver user-friendly solutions.
