Fleet Manager Job Description

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a skilled Fleet Manager to develop and implement strategies for a cost-effective and fully compliant fleet solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle and plant maintenance, as well as driver compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Policies and Standards: Develop and implement robust policies and standards to ensure ongoing compliance of the Operator's Licence. Improve and implement policies, standards, systems, and processes for maintenance management to deliver a cost-effective, timely, and compliant vehicle and plant fleet.
  2. Fleet and Supplier Performance: Drive continuous improvement by monitoring own and supplier performance, seeking stakeholders' views, and taking appropriate actions based on the information obtained.
  3. Leadership: Manage and develop key stakeholder relationships to improve business performance and provide leadership and development to team members.
Requirements:
  • Fleet management experience with large LCV, HGV, and plant fleets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of £44,000 to £57,000 per annum.
  • 26 days annual leave per year increasing to 30 with length of service.
