About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Air Partner Group. As a key member of our Commercial department, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and sales opportunities across our existing client portfolio and developing new sales leads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business and sales opportunities through proactive client outreach and engagement
  • Develop sales opportunities, convert pipeline prospects into sales, and negotiate contracts for services and consultancy/training agreements
  • Meet individual and departmental sales targets
  • Prepare proposals and conduct briefings for current and prospective clients
  • Utilize our CRM system to support all sales activity and reporting
  • Support the marketing department by developing marketing initiatives to drive training, consultancy, and upsell programs
  • Conduct market research to actively seek out and identify selling and upselling opportunities and trends, as well as competitor initiatives
  • Assist with the collation of sales and marketing statistics
  • Support the budgetary planning process
  • Manage allocated budget to maximize return on investment
  • Maintain routine cost control, providing monthly returns to the Finance Department
  • Visit clients nationwide with occasional nights away
  • Occasionally travel internationally for liaison with airports, airlines, external suppliers, and customers
  • Identify and oversee Kenyon's attendance at appropriate industry events to further increase brand awareness and drive growth in products and services
  • Determine marketing and PR priorities to achieve revenue sales targets, ensuring activities are aligned to Sales and BD strategy
  • Identify opportunities and develop business cases for new service offerings
  • Manage multiple tasks, determining priorities as appropriate, with flexibility to adapt and adjust to unforeseen circumstances
  • Liaise with managers across the business to ensure BD is aligned to available resources
  • Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with the quality management system
About You

We are looking for a self-starting, tenacious, proactive, and results-driven individual with a strong background in consultative selling and experience driving business growth through expansion and acquisition of new customer accounts. You should have at least two years of experience working in a commercial role or a role that requires a high degree of daily administration, accounting, statistics, reports, or logistics planning. You should also have demonstrable success with meeting and exceeding personal sales targets, experience developing relationships, influencing, and liaising with people at all levels, and proficiency in planning, scheduling, and resource management.

You should be a full understanding of consultancy/training sales, renewals, and tender execution, with excellent written, verbal, and oral presentation skills. You should also be willing to travel nationally and internationally, able to handle multiple situations simultaneously, and able to identify customer objectives and align solutions to overcome barriers and drive sales. Good business acumen, sound judgment, and good decision-making skills are essential, as well as an ability to build and develop solid, productive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Confident at cold calling and prospecting, you should have a strong customer focus, resilience with an ability to deal with awkward clients, and a thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques. Proven experience of upselling and experience in CRM software (ideally Salesforce) are also desirable. Proficiency in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and formal qualifications in English and Maths (a minimum standard of GCSE English, GCSE Maths, or equivalent) are also required.

An understanding of crisis management, emergency planning, or business continuity is desirable but not mandatory.
