Empirical Search Limited - Financial Risk Leader Opportunity

We are working with a top UK bank to find an experienced Financial Risk Leader. This is a chance to work on one of the most complex retail/corporate balance sheets in the UK, managing risks related to FLM, Capital and IRRBB.

The role involves leading teams and working closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial risks. If you have experience in liquidity or capital risk management, excellent leadership skills and strong communication skills, we would like to hear from you.

The estimated salary for this role is £95,000 - £130,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identifying and assessing financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Leading teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including explaining complex financial concepts.
  • Managing change and implementing process improvements.
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance.
Requirements
  • A degree in a relevant subject (such as Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Economics) or other equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience of liquidity or capital risk management, including a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of delivering through a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex subjects in a simple way.
  • Effective relationship building skills with both internal & external stakeholders.
