Deputy Operations Manager

We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the effective operation of our children's residential home. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in providing a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive and develop independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the welfare and development of young people, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Supervise and support staff to maintain high standards of care and professional practice.
- Lead on staff training, appraisals, and development plans to enhance team performance.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans and collaborate with external professionals, including social workers and schools.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, attend care reviews, and make necessary referrals to external agencies.
- Monitor and maintain the home's environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
- Play an active role in recruitment, induction, and staff management to ensure optimal staffing levels.
Requirements:
- A Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Care (Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards it).
- Proven experience in children's residential care with strong leadership skills.
- A sound understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful impact. The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
