About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist Specialist in Mental Health to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental illness, enhancing their medicines-related care and supporting the safe and effective use of medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical pharmacy advice on the management of patients with mental illness to maximise benefit and minimise risk in relation to medicines.
  • Contribute to the organisation and management of the clinical pharmacy service to specific wards/units/clinical teams.
  • Support and participate in clinical audit to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Support in the education and training of staff groups to enhance their knowledge and skills in medicines management.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
  • PG certificate/diploma in mental health pharmacy or equivalent experience.
  • Member of the RPS/Faculty membership.
