Job Title: Development Director

12 Plus is seeking a seasoned Development Director to spearhead its growth and expansion. As a key member of the Leadership team, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive development strategy that fosters strong relationships with existing donors, identifies new funding opportunities, and amplifies the organization's impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic development plan to increase funding and support for 12 Plus's mission
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing donors, including acknowledgement letters, donor recognition programs, and regular communication updates
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations
  • Represent 12 Plus at public events, conferences, and meetings, serving as a public ambassador for the organization's values and mission
  • Collaborate with the Leadership team to develop and implement grant proposals, reports, and other fundraising materials
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of donations, grants, and fundraising events
  • Work closely with the CEO and Leadership team to establish new partnerships with community organizations, corporate sponsors, and postsecondary institutions
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, including logistics, sponsorships, and volunteer coordination
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a development capacity, with at least 2 years of management experience
  • Proven track record of leading successful fundraising and development campaigns
  • Knowledge of the current postsecondary education landscape and experience working with either the Philadelphia or Camden City school districts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and data management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports
