Director of Development

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development will lead the development of a comprehensive giving plan to increase donor engagement and support the mission of the Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in development and fundraising, with a passion for the game of golf and the caddie experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic giving plan to increase donor engagement and support.
- Work closely with the Executive Director and Development Committee to set annual fundraising goals and plans.
- Oversee all giving initiatives, including the Dawn to Dusk Golf Marathon, and serve as a liaison and motivator for volunteer ambassadors.
- Cultivate and solicit endowment donors to support the JWP Endowment Fund.
- Develop a planned giving initiative and create a professional network to educate constituents on estate planning.
- Work closely with colleagues to generate content for publications, including the annual impact report and donor correspondence.
- Provide oversight of the Development Assistant and fundraising database to ensure accurate gift processing and acknowledgement.
- Minimum of seven years of increasing responsibility in development positions.
- Proven financial and database management experience, including forecasting, budget development, and expense management.
- Intimate knowledge of fundraising databases.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, and travel to GAP Member Clubs for scheduled events.
