We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Statistician to join our Technical Operations Statistics team at Abbott Laboratories.

This role offers an ideal opportunity for a statistician to provide leadership and statistical expertise for operations/manufacturing departments across the Abbott Diabetes Care product range.

The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues from various backgrounds, including Technical, Manufacturing, Research & Development, Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing statistical support for the transfer of products and processes from Research & Development into Manufacturing.
  • Investigating and monitoring manufacturing, stability, and product performance data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Developing analytical test methods and contributing to development trials using statistical background to inform quality and business decisions.

Requirements

  • BSc (or higher) in Statistics or Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working in a regulated or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • SAS/R programming skills are also desirable.

About the Role

This position requires strong collaboration and team-working skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

The successful candidate will be adaptable, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to explain complex statistical concepts to colleagues.

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
