A Learning Support Assistant role is available at a primary school in Camberley. This position is ideal for graduates looking to start their career in child psychology, education, or SEN support.

About the Role:

  • Position: Learning Support Assistant
  • Location: Camberley
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time
  • Role Type: 1:1 support for a child with specific needs, including speech and language, behavioural challenges, or high SEN requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to a primary-aged pupil, promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to implement effective learning strategies and interventions.
  • Foster positive relationships, build self-confidence, and promote independence in the child you support.
  • Support the classroom environment to ensure inclusivity for all pupils.

Requirements:

  • A recent graduate in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Passion for working with children, particularly those with SEN, behavioural, or communication challenges.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
