About the Role

PPL, a leading Social Enterprise and B Corp, seeks an experienced Operations and People Director to join its senior leadership team. This new role will oversee business operations, lead human resources, and drive productivity, business performance, and social impact through people.

The ideal candidate will have a blend of operational leadership, people management, and strategic thinking, with a passion for fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture. They will bring expertise in human resource management, including process improvement and staff support, as well as strong capacity-building skills.

The Operations and People Director will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing effective operational processes and systems
  • Leading HR across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, professional development, and employee experience
  • Ensuring effective allocation of resources to internal activities and external client work
  • Taking overall responsibility for PPL's quality, environmental, information security, and business processes

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in people management, operational leadership, and budget and performance management, with a strong understanding of ISO standards. They will be able to empower and develop team members, manage resource utilisation, and drive business growth.
