Job Description

Questech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

The Role

We are looking for a seasoned electrical maintenance professional to oversee the performance of plant, machinery, and electrical installations on our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, with experience in PLC fault finding and a proven track record of ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct planned maintenance activities, troubleshoot, and fault find to maximize uptime and ensure targets are met for availability and reliability.
  • Ensure that relevant PM and electrical contractor service inspections are conducted on time, as dictated by the PM system and service contracts.
  • Manage external contractors, issue work permits for electrical activities, and carry out active monitoring.
  • Identify best practices and implement improvements to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Complete repairs and breakdowns in a timely manner and perform RCA's for all breakdowns to ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken.
  • Liaise with external professionals and specialists as necessary to achieve the necessary results.
  • Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping, cleaning, and hygiene.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure all work is carried out in a controlled manner.
  • Immediately escalate any serious failure that could adversely affect health and safety, environment, or product quality.
  • Ensure that all relevant departments are kept informed of planned electrical engineering activities in their area.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A time-served accredited apprentice or equivalent experience with appropriate certification.
  • Experience in PLC fault finding is desirable but not essential.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive rate of £30.00ph - £35.00ph and a Monday to Friday, rotating shift pattern.
