About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in their manufacturing facility. As a key member of the site services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall performance of plant, machinery, and electrical installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct planned maintenance activities, troubleshoot, and fault-find to maximize uptime and meet targets for availability and reliability.
  • Ensure statutory electrical inspections are completed on time and remedial work is logged and completed by the site services department.
  • Manage external contractors, issue work permits for electrical activities, and carry out active monitoring.
  • Identify best practices and implement improvements to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Complete repairs and breakdowns in a timely manner and perform RCA's for all breakdowns.
  • Liaise with external professionals and specialists as necessary to achieve results.
  • Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping, cleaning, and hygiene.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure all work is carried out in a controlled manner.
  • Immediately escalate any serious failure that could adversely affect health and safety, environment, or product quality.
  • Keep relevant departments informed of planned electrical engineering activities in their area.
Requirements
  • Time served accredited apprentice or equivalent experience with appropriate certification.
  • Experience in PLC fault finding is desirable but not essential.
