Neonatal Practice Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced neonatal nurse with a strong background in education and practice development to join our team as a Lead Practice Development Nurse.
The successful candidate will possess an NMC PIN and have neonatal experience, with a minimum of 3 years post-neonatal training and at least 2 years of experience facilitating and teaching in neonatal care.
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to the operational and educational management of the neonatal unit
- Lead and facilitate the linking of theory to practice in pre and post-education, training, and practice development for the neonatal nursing team
- Develop and deliver an effective and dynamic education program from the neonatal education strategy to the nursing team, students, and junior staff
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated senior neonatal nurse with substantive experience at band 6 and above, with a strong interest in education and the development of evidence-based standards of care.
Person Specification:- 2 years at band 7 in Level 2/3 neonatal units
- NMC Registered Nurse/Midwife/Registered Children's Nurse
- Experience of working in a Level 3 unit and NLS qualification
- Recognised teaching course
- Experience of Neonatal education pathways
- MSc or willing to undertake or be working towards a Master qualification
- NLS instructor status
- Professional leadership training
- Knowledge of HEI/ODN education pathways
