We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused individual to join our Income Team at Alliance Homes Group.
As an Income Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all income owed to the Association is collected efficiently and effectively.
You will work closely with customers, colleagues, and partners to resolve rent arrears cases, investigate Housing Benefit and Universal Credit claims, and take appropriate action to mitigate the effects of debt and welfare reform.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable families and disadvantaged groups in your community.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with customers to resolve rent arrears cases and ensure timely payment of rent
- Investigate Housing Benefit and Universal Credit claims to identify potential issues and resolve discrepancies
- Work with colleagues and partners to develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and partners
- Make sound judgment calls on complex situations and handle challenging conversations with customers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of income management and debt recovery principles
- Experience in a similar role or relevant industry experience
- Enhanced DBS check and full driving license with access to a car
