Social Care Professional

Northamptonshire Council is seeking a dedicated Children's Social Worker to join their Children In Care - Court Team. This permanent position offers a competitive salary and relocation package.
As a Children's Social Worker at Northamptonshire Children's Trust, you will be part of a supportive learning culture, influencing change, challenging others, and sharing your expertise. The Children in Care Team provides oversight for all children in care in Northamptonshire, including those subject to legal proceedings and those with a plan to remain long-term in care.
You will be conducting clear, accurate assessments, coordinating multi-agency approaches, and building positive relationships with young people, their families, and carers. This is a fast-paced and busy role that strives to deliver positive outcomes for children and families in collaboration with colleagues in the Leaving Care Service and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing oversight for children in care in Northamptonshire, including those subject to legal proceedings and those with a plan to remain long-term in care.
- Building meaningful relationships with young people, their families, and carers to ensure effective planning for the future of every child.
- Coordinating multi-agency approaches to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
- Conducting clear, accurate assessments and making informed decisions to support children and families.
About You:
You will be an experienced, qualified, and registered social worker who has completed their ASYE. You will have a commitment to delivering best practice and support to children, young people, and families. As an effective communicator, you will be able to build positive, strength-based relationships with a diverse range of children, young people, and families. You will be confident in your analysis and decision-making to deliver purposeful and effective social care supported by experienced colleagues and managers.
