The Opportunity

As an Integrated Product Support Specialist, you will play a key role in influencing and advising various business functions, engineering, project managers, bid teams, services and portfolio managers, and sales by promoting and implementing IPS activities. You will also support projects by identifying and managing IPS risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct new and in-service product and system supportability analysis to ensure whole life cost targets are met.
  • Determine, develop and deliver project IPS strategies, plans and reports in conjunction with relevant service and project deliverables.
  • Work with engineering, production and supply chain to provide product and system supportability reporting and assurance.
  • Manage IPS responses to Customer Requests for Proposal (RFP), Invitations to Tender (ITT), Statements of Work (SoW), Tender Assessments and Contract Specifications.
  • Support business growth as an IPS SME for bids, partnering agreements and product development.

Requirements

  • Degree or HND/HNC qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering or with relevant experience in the Defence Industry.
  • Experience contributing to bid responses, understanding customer requirements, estimating costs, and providing bid content such as ILS/IPS plans.
  • Experience in the service support of low volume, high value, products and systems in a highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of the application of through-life support standards such as DEF STAN 00-600, 00-40, 00-42, Mil Std 217F and KiD.

Where will you be based?

Your work will typically be based in Woking (or Romsey), with occasional travel to customer sites. International travel may be required on an infrequent basis.

Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be eligible to achieve DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years.
