Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laboratory Product Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Third Party Systems and After Sales Programmes, you will work closely with customers to deliver project-based activity, ensuring seamless integration of our products with existing laboratory installations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with customers to understand their workflow needs and provide expert advice on Clinisys products and configuration.
  2. Map, configure, troubleshoot, and connect analysers to middleware and Winpath LIMS, ensuring optimal performance.
  3. Configure reporting dashboards and Path manager software to meet customer requirements.
  4. Attend workshops and go-lives at customer sites to ensure efficient product delivery.
  5. Participate in an on-call rota for early life support during project go-lives.
  6. Escalate issues within defined time limits, leveraging knowledge and contracted support.
  7. Work with Project managers on implementation, including time management, resource planning, and collaboration with Trust or Customer IT representatives.
  8. Comprehend customer requirements as specified in the PID and design document.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the functionality of the Pathology product and make recommendations for software changes and enhancements.
  10. Deliver relevant courses for key users of pathology, as required.
  11. Contribute to and support the Pathology team, building knowledge and expertise.
  12. Attend team meetings and agreed training courses.
  13. Be responsive to reasonable requests from your line manager or project managers.
Requirements
  1. BMS status or extensive lab experience in the UK Health sector.
  2. Self-motivated, with the ability to deliver tasks in challenging circumstances.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communication with technical and non-technical clients and staff.
  4. High levels of commitment and ability to take action when necessary.
  5. Ability and willingness to work independently.
  6. High level of customer service skills.
  7. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  8. Strong planning and organisational skills.
  9. Adaptability and flexibility to changing demands.
  10. Ability to implement and manage change.
  11. Previous experience of analyser interfacing and HL7/XML/Pathology integration implementation/troubleshooting is preferred.
