Mental Health Practitioner

North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and compassionate Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people. As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a Whole School Approach to emotional wellbeing and mental health, working closely with education staff to ensure seamless collaboration.
You will offer guidance and support to schools, promoting joint working with other services to ensure that children and young people receive the support they need. Your role will involve delivering CBT interventions for anxiety, low mood, and behavioural problems individually and in groups, as well as supporting junior staff to undertake their roles.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a Whole School Approach to emotional wellbeing and mental health, working closely with education staff.
- Offer guidance and support to schools, promoting joint working with other services.
- Deliver CBT interventions for anxiety, low mood, and behavioural problems individually and in groups.
- Support junior staff to undertake their roles.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, or occupational therapy.
- Experience delivering CBT interventions to children and young people and their families.
- Registration with the appropriate professional body, such as the HCPC or NMC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, carers, and other professional colleagues.
