We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Transformation Unit. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Teams, you will play a vital role in promoting emotional wellbeing and mental health among children and young people.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will work collaboratively with education staff to develop and implement a Whole School Approach (WSA) to emotional wellbeing and mental health. You will provide support and guidance to schools, promoting joint working with other services to ensure that children and young people receive the support they need.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a WSA to emotional wellbeing and mental health in schools
- Provide support and guidance to schools on mental health and wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with education staff to promote joint working with other services
- Deliver CBT interventions for anxiety, low mood, and behavioral problems individually and in groups
- Complete the CYP-IAPT Supervisor (low intensity) training or equivalent
- Successful completion of a graduate training (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy), EMHP/CWP qualification with 18 months experience or equivalent substantial CAMHS/EWMHS clinical experience
- Completed training relevant to the service (e.g., li>
- Completed formal CBT training (e.g., CYP-IAPT)
- Experience of working with schools to support CYP emotional well-being needs
- Experience running therapy groups and/or training events
- Knowledge of legislation in relation to children and young people, and safeguarding procedures and policies
