Education Mental Health Practitioner Trainee

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. As a Trainee EMHP, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in working with children and young people to promote their mental health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people in educational settings with mild to moderate mental health problems.
- Help children and young people in these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services.
- Support and facilitate staff in educational settings to identify and where appropriate manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.
- Work with and within educational environments to afford better access to specialist mental health services.
What We Offer
As a Trainee EMHP with NELFT, you will have the opportunity to work under clinical supervision as part of a dynamic NHS mental health team in a creative environment. You will be supported by a comprehensive induction program and will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
Person Specification
We are looking for an individual who has a degree qualification and has worked with children. A child development qualification and relevant mental health experience are desirable. You should have a commitment to the training course and working within children's mental health services.
