Job Title: Adult Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality mental health services to children and young people. As an Adult Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering a range of interventions, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), to support individuals in achieving their mental health goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with education staff to develop and implement a Whole School Approach (WSA) to emotional wellbeing and mental health.
  • Offer support and guidance to schools, promoting joint working with other services to ensure that children and young people are able to receive support.
  • Deliver CBT interventions to children and young people, and their families, to support their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Supervise junior staff and provide guidance and support to ensure they are able to deliver high-quality services.
Requirements
  • Graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or psychology.
  • Experience of working with children and young people, and their families, to support their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Knowledge of CBT principles and practice, and experience of delivering CBT interventions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with education staff and other professionals to deliver a range of services.
