Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Transformation Unit. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Teams, you will play a vital role in promoting emotional wellbeing and mental health among children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with education staff to develop and implement a Whole School Approach (WSA) to emotional wellbeing and mental health.
  2. Provide support and guidance to schools, promoting joint working with other services to ensure that children and young people receive the support they need.
  3. Deliver CBT interventions for anxiety, low mood, and behavioral problems individually and in groups.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a graduate training (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy), EMHP/CWP qualification with 18 months experience or equivalent substantial CAMHS/EWMHS clinical experience.
  • Completed training relevant to the service (e.g., CYP-IAPT).
  • Formal CBT training (e.g., CYP-IAPT).
  • Experience of working with schools to support CYP emotional well-being needs.
  • Experience running therapy groups and/or training events.
  • Knowledge of legislation in relation to children and young people, and safeguarding procedures and policies.
